  • All of the government agencies responsible for policing CE marking have responsibilities under different regulations, and most UK enforcement is driven by complaints.
  • It is more common in countries such as Sweden and Germany for agencies to perform test purchases of products.
  • It is possible that some goods will be stopped at the port of entry if they are found to be without their CE marking documentation.
  • Toys and consumer electrical goods are some of the more likely products to be stopped.
