The Role:

We require a self-motivated and enthusiastic person to join our office admin team. You will help with tasks such as company receptionist, processing enquiries and other diverse tasks that occur in a small business.

Job Description / task list for Sales Administrator/ Receptionist

  • Answering telephone calls, recording caller details and directing them to other members of staff;
  • Reviewing, sorting, forwarding, recording and responding to e-mail enquiries;
  • Administration of the company's online shop;
  • Maintaining a database of the company's clients and sales contacts;
  • Recording and responding to sales enquiries;
  • Liaising with other members of staff to ensure that quotations and responses to sales enquiries are promptly issued;
  • Taking meeting minutes;
  • Filing e-mails (your own and those of other members of staff as requested) and other information;
  • Report monthly sales data to the Board
  • Cover for other admin job functions during holidays/absence
  • Following up quotations;
  • Making travel arrangements for consultants;
  • General office duties such as opening post, scanning and filing, banking, greeting visitors and providing them with refreshments etc;
  • Working safely and in accordance with the company’s health and safety management systems;
  • To report to your manager on a monthly basis to keep them informed of your activities, expenses and to provide such specific data as they request;
  • Other activities and tasks as requested by your manager;
  • Need a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (esp. Excel)
  • Good spelling and grammar
  • Application for part time working will be considered (core hours 10:00 – 15:00 daily, additional hours could be early morning or evenings);
  • Home based working will be considered

Salary: in the range £10.50 – £12.50 depending on age, experience and qualifications.

3% company pension contributions.

28 days full time equivalent holiday (including public/bank holidays)

Ideally you will have working knowledge of Excel, Word and good spelling and grammar. You will need to have a confident and polite telephone manner and be able to work on your own initiative. You can expect a supportive, relaxed working environment and a competitive rate of pay.

Part time working and working from home will be considered.
