Although each CE marking project Conformance undertakes is inherently different, the general structure of the project follows the procedure illustrated below.

The procedure is flexible and allows scope for greater or lesser involvement from the customer or Conformance. This may be due to reasons of budget, available time, existing customer knowledge, the need for a "turn-key" solution etc. Depending on the item being CE marked, the relevant directives may require a slightly different approach.

Also, depending on the customers' needs, "Extra" items may be included in the project for an additional cost. These commonly include purchasing any relevant standards, or Conformance creating the technical file on behalf of the customer.

In the initial enquiry stage of the process (Step 1), we are happy to discuss all of the above points with prospective customers to ensure that the work we do fulfills the customer's specific needs and makes the best use of available resources - from both Conformance and the customer.
