Machinery Directive Annex 1 - Essential Health and Safety Requirements

The basic requirements for the safety of machines are defined in Annex 1 of the original Directive. These were added to by 91/368/EEC which set out requirements for mobile machines and machines for lifting loads, and then by the subsequent amendments of 93/44/EEC and 93/68/EEC concerned with lifts and the marking applied to products.
